Games today ...

The Buffalo Sabres play the Boston Bruins today at 1 p.m. You think the ad wizards in the NHL would have pushed this game back because most people will be watching the International  Bowl at noon. UB plays in its first college football bowl, ever, against UCONN. If you don't know the back story, (a lot more, here) this game is kind of important.  My high school JV coach was part of the 1958 team that honorably turned down an invitation to the Tangerine Bowl because of jim crowesque segregation rules preventing whites playing with blacks (UB had two black players on the team). 

I hope UB wins, but the Rogers Centre has not been kind to another Buffalo team.
